Contemporary paneled leather boards with etched frame and tooled panel designs in blind to front and rear boards. No exterior titling. Gilt floral design to edges of boards, quite rubbed, except for top; Five raised bands on spine. Rubbing to extremities, especially bottom edges of boards. Vertical crack to spine from top to bottom; small chips to top and bottom of spine. Missing front endpaper(s) and half-title. Staining to title page, which is partially detached. Light browning, but generally clean. Book holds together well for reading purposes. Dedicated "To His Most Excellent Majesty GEORGE II. By the Grace of God, Of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland, King, Defender of the FAITH, Duke of Brunswick-Lunenburg, Elector of HANOVER, and Arch-Treasurer and Elector of the Sacred Roman Empire."
