Specially bound with three small leather bands with cover title decorated and illuminated by hand in an illuminated design in a Renaissance motif. Horizontal closed tear across paper covering on front board. Chip and small tear along top corner of spine, toning to spine and some darkening along front edge. Short gift inscription to front endpaper and date [Florence, Italy. 1946] in ink on bottom of front endpaper. Text clean. Must assume this was a special binding of the book bought in Florence.
