Verso of map, which is page 14 of "The Graphic" listes a detailed biography of each member of "The Colonial Executive Commissioners for the Colonial and Indian Exhibitions and nine short news items, including an article about the diseases responsible for the increasing mortality rate in London and a fine levied against a merchant for selling butter with too high a percentage of foreign fat.

The Graphic was a British weekly illustrated newspaperpublished from 1869 to 1932. It successfully competed with the popular Illustrated London News. In addition to its home market, the paper had subscribers all around the British Empire and North America. It sought to bring awareness to prevailing issues in the British empire such as poverty, homelessness, and public health, and also devoted attention to literature, arts, sciences, the fashionable world, sport, music and opera. In 1886, it's editor was Arthur Locker.
